“I Heart My Pet” rewards program.

In March 2010, Calgary’s Animal & Bylaw Services collaborated with Margaret Kool Marketing (MKM) to launch the I Heart My Pet rewards program to thank the thousands of Calgarians who have licensed their pets. More than 90% of the city’s dogs and 45% of cats are currently licensed, making Calgary a leader amongst North American cities. A licence is a pet’s ticket home. It allows Calgary’s Animal & Bylaw Services to reunite lost pets with their owners. As a result, Calgary has the highest return-to-owner and lowest pet euthanasia rates on the continent.

Pet owners can expect to receive an I Heart My Pet rewards card with their annual pet renewal notice or when licensing their pet for the first time. The rewards card provides a means for pet owners to recoup the cost of their licensing fees through savings on products and services offered by our 40 generous partner merchants. Current pet owners who want to receive their rewards card before their renewal month can pick one up at the Animal Services Centre at 2201 Portland Street SE.
